Nanocomposites

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the January 27th, 2008

Nanocomposites are a new class of materials created from a highly refine form of nanoclay that is mixed into plastic/ceramic resins. Nanocomposites can be used to make ultra fine-grained structures with dimensions in the near nanoscale range. This creates much greater strength from much greater surface area.

Advanced nanotechnology tools and techniques, along with much improved ability to understand, manipulate, and activate single molecules and nanostructures, allow material scientists a world of possibilities. Ever more important discoveries will be made with hybrid or nanocomposite materials.
